Hockey heals body and soul, prepares vets Roman and Lee for Paralympics

As members of the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey team, Roman and Lee are the last line of defense. Roman is a rugged defensemen who took to sled hockey because it reminded him of the hard-hitting football he played in his youth in Portland, Ore. Three Rampage Sled Players Selected to Paralympic Team — Help us raise funds to send their families and teammates to support in Sochi


USA Hockey announced today that forward USMC (Ret) Sgt. Josh Sweeney, defenseman USA (Ret) SSG Rico Roman and goaltender USA WCAP SSG Jen Yung Lee of the San Antonio Rampage Sled Hockey Team have been selected to represent Team USA at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia from March 7-16, 2014. Sweeney, Roman and Lee all served in the United States Armed Forces and recovered from injuries at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
